The Moonworm Queen is an item that occasionally spawns as loot in chests that are found in Hollow Hills. When the right-mouse button is pressed with the Moonworm Queen in hand and the reticle pointing at a block, Moonworms will be created on the ground at the cost of one charge per Moonworm. These Moonworms will emit a light level of 14, equivalent to a Torch. However, Moonworms cannot be relocated once placed. When the right-mouse button is held and the reticle is not pointing at a block, the Moonworm Queen will function like a bow that shoots Moonworms that stick to the surface of wherever they land. Doing so costs two charges per Moonworm.
The Moonworm Queen has a durability of 256 which can be recharged by placing the Moonworm Queen in a crafting grid with three Torchberries as shown below. The queen will not die if all 256 charges are used up.
