The Hydra Trophy is an item added by the Twilight Forest mod. One Hydra Trophy is dropped per Hydra slain. In the newest version of the Twilight Forest mod used by the MindCrack Pack and Direwolf20 Pack, the Hydra Trophy can be placed in the world and will appear as a scaled-down version of the Hydra's head. This head functions much like the head of a normal player, rotating based on the angle that the player was facing when the Trophy was placed down. If the Trophy has a block to rest on, the mouth of the Trophy will be closed, and if it is left free-floating, then the mouth will be open.
Its item ID is 27275, and the Pick Block button switches to an item with ID 27275 if used on a Hydra Trophy placed in the world, but the Hydra Trophy block's item ID is 1524. Spawning in this item will give the player an item with the texture of Soul Sand and with the tooltip "Twilight Forest Trophy" that will also create a Hydra Trophy when placed on the ground.
In earlier versions of the mod, such as the version used by Feed the Beast Beta Pack A, the Hydra Trophy has no function and cannot be placed in the world.
