Sapling is a block from vanilla Minecraft. It can be planted to grow a tree by right-clicking a Dirt or Grass Block. Bone Meal and several fertilizers added by mods can be used to grow a Sapling into a tree faster. Most saplings have a chance to be dropped by breaking the leaves from trees that have been grown from the sapling, however there are some exceptions like the "magic" saplings from the Twilight Forest mod.
