The Arborist's Chest is a storage block added by the Forestry mod. It works much like the Apiarist's Chest but stores Saplings and other Arboriculture items instead of Bees, and provides additional information on the trees being managed.

Interface

The Arborist's Chest holds 125 storage slots, arranged as 25 stacks per page across five pages. Page navigation arrows above the inventory grid switch between pages. Only items recognized as members of the tree species root (saplings and pollen) can be placed in the chest; other items are returned to the player when the inventory is closed.

The information panel to the left displays details about whichever sapling the cursor is hovering over in the chest grid or the player inventory, including its primary and secondary genetic species. Icons below the species names track which other species have been successfully bred from the displayed one. A question mark indicates a combination that has not yet been discovered, providing a built-in breeding tracker for tree breeding.

Any tree sapling registered in the treeSapling ore dictionary can be used in place of the Apple Oak Saplings shown above, and any wooden chest can be used as the central ingredient.  Glass can be substituted with the following items:  Clear Glass,  Clear Stained Glass,  Stained Glass.

Usage

Arborist's Chest has no known uses in crafting.
