Fence Gate is a block added by vanilla Minecraft. Its hitbox is 1.5 blocks tall, preventing mobs and players to jump over it. Additionally, it can be opened with a right-click or with a redstone signal, making it useful for mob pens surrounded by Fences.

Note: Prior to MC 1.8, Oak Wood Planks can be substituted with any combination of Wood Planks. Since MC 1.8, two identical Wood Planks are needed to create a Fence Gate of the appropriate wood variant.
