The Painter is used to paint Cables so they only connect to unpainted cables or cables of the same color. This can be used to prevent mixing different kinds of current or to prevent excessively high CPU usage due to Cable intersections. Painters can also paint Construction Foams and Wool. It also has cross-mod support with other colorable blocks such as ME Cable and Railcraft Tank.
Before you can color Cables you must first dye the painter with the dye of the color that you want to use. A Painter can not be re-dyed until its current dye is used up.
Notes
- A painter can be used 32 times before running out of dye.
- The painter is fully compatible with the BuildCraft automatic crafting table.
- The color of the wool used in construction does not effect the painter, it still creates a white un-dyed painter.
- Black dyed painter removes color from EU cable, and does not paint it black.
