The EU-Reader is a device used to measure currents passing through Cables or storage devices.

The EU capacity of cables important to know to avoid sending too much current through a cable, as that can cause a machine/storage device to explode.

You may click ANY cable or storage device to begin measurement. Clicking the same cable again will display the averagely measured EU/t and how long the measurement took place (in Ticks).

Currently the EU-Reader does not function properly in newer versions of IndustrialCraft² Experimental. Right-clicking it on any block will show the "swing" animation, but it will not show any information when right-clicked on cables, storage devices or machines.
