Hammer is an item added by the GregTech 5 mod. It is a Meta Tool, which can be used in over 2300 recipes. It can also be used to break ore block to drop Crushed Ore. It can be right-clicked on Stone for prospecting. The results of prospecting will then be written in chat. The prospecting goes several blocks in the direction the stone block was clicked and will show the objects, such as opening, lava, water or ore.

Hammer deals 1 damage point less than a Sword made from the same material. It also mines blocks at 3/4 of the default speed.

Parameters

Parameters of the hammer depend on the parameters of the material of the Ingot, Gem or Hammer Head used to craft it. The following table consists of the parameters of all possible hammers.
