Charcoal is a material added by GregTech 5 mod.
Charcoal is a Steam-tier material. It is used to create

Obtaining Material
There are several ways of obtaining this material.
- In Pyrolyse Oven Pyrolyse Oven charcoal can be obtained more effectively (20 pieces from 16 wood), in addition, some fluid byproducts are produced, allowing the player to easily advance in chemistry by processing them, or to simply burn them for more energy. These byproducts can be chosen by the player. The list of all available byproducts is:
