Wintry Hive is a block added by the Forestry mod. These hives contain Wintry Bees (princesses and/or drones) and possibly a Frozen Comb. Like all hives, they can be harvested with a Scoop, Thaumium Scoop, or one of several machines. Harvesting them with a hand, pick, or other tool will result in the hive dropping nothing. The hive block itself cannot be collected normally, but grabbing it with a portal gun and placing it on a torch will cause it to drop as a block. Snowy Hives are the only source of Wintry Bees, and can be found in a Taiga, Mountain Taiga, Snowy Rainforest, Snow Forest, Tundra, Ice Plain, or Ice Mountain. Like all hives, they emit a low level of light, making them easier to spot at night (even under snow cover).
