The Farm Control is a new item from the Forestry mod version 2.0.0.8 and later. It's used in the creation of MultiFarms. The fields a farm works on can be controlled by applying redstone signals to control blocks. The farm can be shut down completely by applying a redstone signal from top or below. Alternatively, a specific side can be disabled by applying a redstone signal on the matching side of the control block.
