Pollination
Pollination is a trait inherited by Bees which determines how fast their "flower" grows or spreads, if applicable. It also affects the rate at which mutated sapling leaf blocks will appear for Tree Breeding.
Bees can have the following Pollination traits:
- Slowest (5%)
- Slower (10%)
- Slow (15%)
- Average (20%)
- Fast (25%)
- Faster (30%)
- Fastest (35%)
- Maximum (99%)
All traits are recessive with the exception of Slowest and Maximum.
Flower Growth
Every bee tick, there are 10 random chances for a "flower" to be planted within the bee's Territory. Each chance is calculated as follows:
chance = Pollination * Housing Modifier
Where housing modifier:
Example
Forest Bee inside an Apiary will have ten 10% (0.1 (Slower) * 1 (Apiary)) chances of spreading flowers.
Pollination Rates
The list below shows the default Pollination traits for bee species. These are the default traits for purebred bees. Cross-bred bees may have different traits inherited from the parental generation. Pollination can be modified through selective breeding. Any species not listed here has the Slowest Pollination trait.
