The Silver Deposits is an item added by the Witchery mod.
It is a natural bane for those afflicted with the Curse of the Wolf and is collected as a by-product of smelting Gold Ore using a Silver Vat placed adjacent to a Furnace, which will extend a spigot over the Vat and slowly produce Silver Deposits at the approximate rate of 18%. Each Vat added to the Furnace will produce this amount of by product from the same amount of Ore smelted, effectively multiplying the yield of Silver Deposits.
