Stirling Generator is a machine similar to Stirling Engine. It generates 20 RF (2 MJ) per tick. It also has an internal storage of 100,000 RF. It can be upgraded with capacitors to increase its production, energy storage and reduce fuel burn rate. This makes the generator capable of evolving with your power needs, and can be a great combination with Ethanol production, turning the spare wood from your sapling farm into Charcoal. A Stirling Generator can produce more energy with charcoal (80RF/t) than a Combustion Engine on Fuel (60 RF/t).

Capacitator Energy Storage Fuel Burn Rate Power Output
None 100,000 RF x2 20 RF/t
Double-Layer Capacitor 200,000 RF x1.25 40 RF/t
Octadic Capacitor 1,000,000 RF x1 80 RF/t

It is possible to control this machine by using Redstone (this can be switched off in the machine's GUI). If the generator begins burning an item, turning it off using redstone will continue to use the remaining fuel, but not produce any energy.
