The Pipe Plug is an item added by the BuildCraft 3 mod. The purpose of the item is to close of the sides of a pipe, to prevent it from connecting up to other pipes on that side. This is particularly useful in conjunction with Golden Pipes as two of these pipes cannot be placed adjacent to each other without having them connect. Using pipe plugs prevents this, allowing for more compact pipe arrangements. Transport, Waterproof and Conductive pipes all accept pipe plugs.
The plug is attached to a pipe by right-clicking the pipe with the plug on the side it has to be attached to, one plug is required for each side of the pipe you wish to block. Plugs can be removed by shift+right-clicking on the plug with an empty hand.
8 Pipe plugs can be made from a Cobblestone Structure Pipe using an Assembly Table powered by nearby Lasers. The process consumes 1000 MJ.
