[hide]The Mana Lens is an item added by the Botania mod.
This Lens needs to be endowed with a Rune and/ or other items, to affect the properties of the Mana Spreader burst. The Lens is installed by 'Right-clicking' it on the output face of the Spreader. The Lens may also be dyed using the appropriate dye or a Mana Pearl for alternating colours. However once a Lens is endowed it changes colour and/or shape. Lenses can be combined using a slimeball. The resulting compound lens will have the properties of both parent lenses but will take the appearance of the first lens placed in the crafting grid.

Effect on Mana Burst
- Bore
- Breaks any blocks it encounters, using Mana.
- Bounce
- The Burst can bounce off blocks.
Celebratory
- The Burst will detonate into a fireworks display upon contact with a block.
- Damaging
- Causes damage to Entities, using Mana.
- Efficiency
- Slows the rate of loss, but starts loss sooner.
- Entropic
- Explodes on contact.
Flare
- Spreader will fire continuous decorative particles.
- Flash
- Contact with a block creates a decorative flame of light.
- Force
- Moves blocks that it hits.
- Gravity
- The Burst will lose altitude as it travels, but last longer without losing Mana.
- Influence
- Carries dropped items, XP orbs and falling blocks with it.
- Kindle
- Sets blocks on fire.
- Magnetizing
- Homes in on nearby blocks that can receive Mana, but slower.
- Paintslinger
- Must have a dye colour applied to it to function. If the mana burst collides with a block that can be dyed it will change that block and all connected blocks to the same colour as the dye that was applied to the lens. It also affects Sheep.
- Phantom
- Passes through blocks, but starts losing Mana sooner.
- Potency
- Doubles the Mana capacity, but slower and starts losing Mana at a faster rate.
Redirective
- Turns any Spreader hit by a mana burst to turn to face the Spreader the burst originated from.
- Resistance
- Doubles longevity, but slower.
- Tripwire
- Only fires mana burst when any mob is within range of traectory.
- Velocity
- Doubles the speed of the burst, but at 75% potential and starts losing Mana quicker.
- Warp
- If the mana burst strikes a Force Relay that is bound to another block, the burst will "warp" directly to the bound block, ignoring all blocks in the way (even if they would normally affect or halt a mana burst). Upon reaching the target block, the mana burst will resume travelling in the same direction and angle at which it struck the Force Relay, and will behave like a normal mana burst again.
- Weight
- Causes blocks it touches to fall if not supported.
