The Logistical Sorter is a filter block added by Mekanism. It is mounted directly on the side of an inventory and pushes items out of that inventory into a connected Logistical Transporter network according to a list of user-defined filters. Each filter selects a specific item, a Forge Ore Dictionary entry, a Material tag or a Mod ID, and may optionally tag matching items with a colour. Coloured items are then routed by tier-matching colours configured on the destination side of the network, allowing several inventories to share the same set of pipes without items going to the wrong place.
Filters can also be set with a stack-size limit so that a single sorter can both bulk-extract regular outputs and trickle-feed a smaller, capped buffer elsewhere on the network. Like other Mekanism transmitter-aware blocks, the Logistical Sorter requires energy to run; it has its own internal buffer that can be charged through any Mekanism energy source.
A Configurator is used in pipe-configuration mode to set per-side connections.
