The Pumpjack is a machine added by the Magneticraft mod. It is a 1x3x2 block structure that appears when the single block is placed in the world. When the Pumpjack is placed, the block it was placed on will be the middle of the machine, the Horse Head end will always face you and the energy input will be in the back. It can not be rotated with a Wrench and must be mined and re-placed to rotate it. The Pumpjack has an internal storage of 4000mB, or 4 buckets.
The Pumpjack can be used to extract Oil from the Magneticraft mod's Oil Source block and can also be placed above a BuildCraft generated Oil pool to extract from it. Unlike the BuildCraft Pump, a Pumpjack will not attempt to harvest other liquids.
Magneticraft Oil processing starts by finding a vein of Oil Source blocks using the Oil Prospector and placing a Pumpjack above and supplying Low Voltage Electricity. If there are Oil Source blocks at any depth below the head of the Pumpjack, it will dig below the Horse Head end in a 1x1 hole down and eject the blocks (Item conduits from most mods do not connect to the Pumpjack) into the world in front of it until it gets to the Oil Source vein. The Pumpjack will place Concrete posts in place of the blocks it digs, similar to the tubing of a real world Pumpjack, until it reaches an Oil Source block. The Concrete posts do not despawn or decay even after the Pumpjack is removed. You don't want to fall down that hole, do you? Once the Pumpjack reaches an Oil Source, it will extract Oil from the Oil Source and when depleted, the block will become a Drained Oil Source and the Pumpjack will start extracting from other connected Oil Sources until the entire vein is drained. Oil will automatically eject from any of the 3 connectors below the Horse Head end of the Pumpjack into connected fluid inventories or pipes, such as the Iron Pipe or Fluid Tank.
Pumpjack has no known uses in crafting.
