The Directional Detector Track is a specialized form of the Detector Track. It emits a redstone current whenever a cart passes over it in the direction of the arrow. If a cart travels over it in the direction opposite the arrow, it will not emit a current. This is used to detect which direction a cart is traveling along the track. Note that unlike Detector Track, it will only emit redstone if a cart is moving over it. If a cart is motionless on top of it (such as when stopped by a solid block or Buffer Stop Track) it does not reliably detect it.
