Seared Bricks are a block added by Tinkers' Construct. It is the most basic component of a Smeltery, and is used in a few Tinkers' Construct recipes. It is crafted from Seared Brick.
A 3x3 grid of Seared Bricks form the base of a smeltery. Seared Bricks may also be used for constructing the walls of the smeltery, and are the cheapest block to use. However, a Smeltery Controller, and at least one Smeltery Drain and Seared Tank are also required.
It is safe to use Seared Bricks as cosmetic blocks, as only the Smeltery Controller checks for the status of a smeltery.
