The Smeltery Drain is a block added by the Tinkers' Construct mod.
A building block that is part of the Smeltery, providing a place where molten liquids can be extracted from a Seared Faucet. Each smeltery must have at least one drain, it can be located anywhere except on the bottom. Once a Seared Faucet is placed on the drain, Right-clicking it will pour the smeltery's contents into a Casting Table or Casting Basin below. The Smeltery Drains is a dual delivery system with input and output settings based on the block's orientation. Connected horizontally with a Seared Faucet, it will be in output mode, relying on the faucet to allow any liquids stored in the smeltery to be drained, however, if the drain is placed facing upwards, it will be in input mode, and any faucet or outputting block will drain into the smeltery. Input mode may be preferred for quicker alloy smelting, especially for instantly melting obsidian without a pickaxe.
Smeltery Drains can also interact with other liquid management and transport systems such as Fluiduct or Liquid Pipe to facilitate storage into a Tank.
