The QED is a block added by the Extra Utilities mod. Functioning as a special crafting table, it has an interface similar to that of the vanilla Crafting Table and is used to craft specific items from the mod itself. The QED requires a form of energy to operate, the Ender-Flux energy it requires is generated by Ender-Flux Crystals which have to be placed in proximity to the QED. Additional crystals will speed up the process of crafting the item.

QED is short for many things. The name displayed in the game changes when it is not observed, i.e., when the player looks away from the block, which is a reference to measurement/observation and the uncertainty principle in real quantum mechanics.
