Nether Quartz Seed is an item added by the Applied Energistics 2. It has no use in crafting but can be grown into the Pure Nether Quartz Crystal when placed into water.

The growth is a very slow process but it can be speeded by placing Crystal Growth Accelerators around block of water.

While growing seed changes it size on 33% and 66% and then became a fully grown crystal.
