The Multiplexer is one of numerous blocks added by the RedPower 2 mod which allows for Redstone circuitry simplification. The Multiplexer functions by having two different inputs which are controlled by a third input. Depending on whether or not the central input is turned on, the output will mimic either the left or right input side.
