Iridium Ore is a block added by the GregTech 4 mod. A resource that generates in the world in small quantities spawning as a single block. It may be easier to find in the Nether, in the Twilight Forest, or in a Mystcraft Age dimension. It can spawn at any level. Iridium Ore will yield an Iridium Ore (item) if mined with a Diamond Pickaxe.
Given the rarity of the Ore, it is recommended to mine it using a tool imbued with Silk Touch, a Rock Cutter or a Digital Miner, and then process it in a Macerator, Rock Crusher, Industrial Grinder or Pulverizer effectively doubling the yield. The Fortune enchant works on Iridium, but the yield is not consistent, hence less effective than processing.
