Flux Bees are a highly undesirable outcome of a misguided attempt to create Pure Bees. As both Flux Bees and Pure Bees are made with the same breeding pair, it is possible to obtain Flux Bees while attempting to create Pure Bees. The Effect trait of Flux Bees (Fluxify Node) randomly adds aspects to the Flux value of the nearest Node. This is antithetical to that of Pure Bees, which removes aspects from the flux of the node and makes them into Crystallized Aspects, which are deposited into the inventory of the Apiary or Alveary of which the Pure Bee resides.

Flux Bees are identical to Pure Bees genome-wise except that their pollination rate is slightly slower. Thus, even if Memory Combs are desired, Flux Bees should not be kept, as there is no benefit to keeping these bees over Vis Bees, Aware Bees, Pure Bees or Node Bees for the creation of combs.

Flux Bees are only created if near an Unstable Node. Likewise, Pure Bees are only created if there is a Pure Node in the area, which can make them very difficult to obtain. If there is no node of either of these varieties nearby, mutation cannot occur.

Production

Flux Bees produce Memory Combs as is the case with the other members of the Vis Branch. These result in Intellect Drops, Magic Wax and Honeydew when centrifuged.

Requirements

Pure Flux Bees require a Normal Climate and Normal Humidity to start working and must be near a Node of some sort so that the bees can add random Flux to the local Aura.
