The Earthy Comb is one of the honeycomb types in Magic Bees add-on mod. It can be produced by Earthen, Grounded, Rockin' and Skystone Bees.
With Thaumcraft 3, it's a method of making Earth Shards a renewable resource. Magic Wax is another product of Earthy Combs. Earthy Combs were obtained with the usage of the Solum Bee, a bee which was created by combining a Stark Bee, an Earth Shard and a fair amount of Aspects in an Infusion Altar.
With any pack that doesn't use TC3, it can only be used to make Clay and Magic Wax; with Thaumcraft 4 installed Glittering Earthy Combs are used for Earth Shards instead.
