Empty Map is an item added by the OpenBlocks mod.
It is used to create 3 dimensional Maps of the world surrounding the Player. Place the Map in the Cartographer by 'Shift+Right-clicking' it with an Empty Map in Hand to start the mapping process. Once the Cartographer is done drawing the Map the name will change to Height Map, place it in a Height Map Projector to view it.
The scale of the Map may be expanded up to 1:8 by crafting the Empty Map (this cannot be undone).
