A Syringe is an item from RFTools mod. It is used to extract essence from mobs.

To extract the essence, hit the mob (left-click) with the Syringe until it's full. Each hit does 5 () and grants 10% progress. Its attack speed is unrestricted. Right-clicking with a Syringe will print the current mob and fill percentage to the chat box. Using a filled syringe on a different mob than it is currently set to resets all progress and changes to the new mob type. A full Syringe can then be used to craft various Modules for Environmental Controller and Mob Dimlets. Syringes are destroyed once crafted into another RFTools item.
