Potentiometer is a block added by the Draconic Evolution mod. It can be placed on the sides of blocks and it is capable of emitting a redstone signal. By default it does not emit a signal. The signal can be activated by right-clicking it. The block will then emit a signal with strength of 1, which can be increased all the way up to maximum strength (15) by right-clicking it. Holding down the crouch key whilst right-clicking will decrease the signal strength. Changing the signal strength also changes the front-facing side of the block, which acts as a signal strength indicator display.
