Ethanol Crystals are used to power the gasoline engine and the performance engine. They are created using the fermenter and a furnace in a three-step process.

Start by placing sugar in the top slot of the fermenter and dirt in the bottom slot of the fermenter. Run the fermenter to get yeast.
Place the yeast in the fermenter's top slot and place saplings in the bottom slot. Run the fermenter to get ethanol sludge.
Smelt the sludge in a furnace or furnace alternative to get ethanol crystals.

Ethanol crystals immediately liquefy when placed in an engine. Liquid ethanol can be extracted using buckets. Each ethanol crystal, when placed in a gasoline engine, gives approximately 3.9385 MJ of energy.
