These hives contain Attuned Bees (princess and 80% for a drone) and their combs (Mundane Comb) added by Magic Bees. They can be mined with a Scoop or Thaumium Scoop. They are found in depths between Y10 and Y25 height in Magical, Hills and Mountain biomes. Deep Hives require at least five of the adjacent blocks to be stone in order to spawn, generate with Redstone Ore surrounding the hive. Similar to Oblivion and Infernal Hives, they cannot generate in forced void dimensions.
Deep hives have a 5% chance of dropping a Valiant Bee instead of their normal species and princesses are 65% ignoble, 35% pristine.
