A Dark Aurem is created by surrounding an Obelisk (Ars Magica 2) with Wizards Chalk and Warding Candles in a pattern described in the picture below or in the Arcane Compendium.
Ritual
Throw a Sunstone and a Monster Focus close to the Obelisk on the ground then casts a spell at the Obelisk that contains the Fire Damage component, it will be replaced by a Black Aurem.

It produces Dark Etherium by killing mobs in a 15 by 15 radius. use a Crystal Wrench to link it to other machines or battery.
It can be improved by putting wizards chalk in a circle around it and making magic pillars.
