Force Sticks are used to craft force tools. When you use a Force Stick to craft a Force Rod you get a Force Rod with full durability.
In FTB Unleashed < 1.1.3 the DartCraft recipe of two Force Logs is used to craft a Force Stick. This can cause a conflict with Tinkers' Construct in which the Force Logs are used to craft a Barricade instead, making the Force Stick unavailable. A renewable but expensive workaround is to use the Uncrafting Table to take apart a Proven Frame, which can be obtained by trading emeralds to a Beekeeper villager.
In FTB Unleashed 1.1.4 and above, the recipe changed to two Force Planks.
