Tainted Rod and the wand made from it is the best wand in one of 3 ways to study in Forbidden Magic. This rod provides excellent capacity of 150 vis of each type and it restores up to 15 of each aspect while being in Tainted Lands biome. Furthermore, it restores 1 vis of random aspect for each damage point the owner suffers from Taint Poison debuff. This can be used to create a simple setup to recharge such wands without nodes, and the possibility of creating this setup makes this core the best in Forbidden Magic.

"Tainted lands are places of great and terrible power for those Thaumaturges who know how to tap into them.
The Tainted Wand Core can store up to 150 vis of each type and slowly replentishes itself up to 10% in every aspect as long as it is being held inside of Tainted Land. While the wand is held in your hand, you can also feel off of taint coursing through your veins, randomly restoring vis every time you take damage from flux taint."

Can be capped by any wand caps from ThaumCraft and addons to form a wand.
Tainted Rod has no known uses in crafting.
