The Steam Wings are an Exosuit upgrade placed in the back slot of the Exosuit Chestpiece. When the player has fallen a distance over 1.4 blocks, the wings will expand to slow the player's fall and will eliminate fall damage. When the player presses shift, the wings will collapse and the player will fall normally.

Now I can glide like a chicken, at no steam cost!
This steam powered chestpiece upgrade will deploy when I start falling too fast to slow my fall, but this can be disabled by hitting shift.
