Quartz Ore is an ore block added by Thaumcraft 6. It generates naturally in the Overworld and gives the player access to Nether Quartz without having to travel to the Nether. The ore can also be created from any stone block by Botania's Orechid Ignem flower.
Mining the ore drops one piece of Nether Quartz (multiplied by Fortune), or the block itself when broken with Silk Touch. There is also a 5% chance per block broken to drop one piece of Rare Earths as a bonus, suppressed by Silk Touch.
