The Crude Blast Furnace is a 3x3x3 multi-block machine added by the Immersive Engineering mod. It uses Iron and Coal Coke to generate Steel Ingots and Slag. Unlike with the Improved Blast Furnace, slag may not be removed - limiting its automation capabilities.
It is the Immersive Engineering equivalent of the Railcraft Blast Furnace.
Once completed, hit the side middle with an Engineers Hammer to activate. A small black doorway shape will show, the opening for the blast furnace, if successful. If this does not happen then check all the bricks are placed. It should be a solid 3x3x3 block with no gap in the middle layer. The Blast Furnace takes coal coke and charcoal only (not regular coal). Right-click on the Furnace to open the GUI. As with a vanilla furnace, put the fuel in the bottom left slot and the material to convert above it. Usage[edit]
Crude Blast Furnace has no known uses in crafting. The Blast Furnace can be used to process materials such as iron into steel.
