The Arc Furnace is a multiblock machine added by the Immersive Engineering mod. It uses large amounts of energy to rapidly smelt ore and grit into ingots. It also can recycle many different metal items to return a portion of the materials, and alloy various metals including Steel and alloys from Ender IO.

To operate, the Arc Furnace requires a set of three Graphite Electrodes, in addition to 512 Immersive Flux or Redstone Flux per operation per tick, sent through up to 3 ports in the back of the multiblock. The Arc Furnace has 12 input slots, 4 alloying slots, and 7 output slots. Each input slot represents an individual operation, and filling all 12 will result in 12 operations being run simultaneously. While this will result in a considerable power drain of 6144 IF/t, it reduces overall wear on the Graphite Electrodes, which lose durability whenever the machine is running, regardless of how many operations are taking place. A set of full durability Electrodes will last 4760 seconds before needing to be replaced.

Items can be inserted into the input and alloying slots via blue ports on the top right and left of the multiblock respectively. Outputs may be collected via a hole in the front of the machine.

Like many other Immersive Engineering multiblocks, the Furnace can be turned off by applying a redstone signal to the Redstone Engineering Block on the front of the machine.
