Item Filter is a utility item added by Random Things mod, to be used in conjunction with other parts of the same mod. On its own, the Item Filter doesn't do anything; its purpose is to specify what items other tools/machines are to affect or ignore. It can be opened by right-clicking with the Item Filter in hand to configure it. Up to nine items or blocks can be recorded in a single Item Filter, and it can ignore or use metadata, Ore Dictionary, and Whitelist/Blacklist parameters. Left-click to remove a saved ghost item / block. Multiple stacked Item Filters can all be configured at once. Holding Shift while mousing over a configured Item Filter will show which items/blocks it is set to.

The Item Filter is used to control other Random Things machines and items, including the Drop Filter, Voiding Drop Filter, and Advanced Item Collector. Item Filter (Random Things) has no known uses in crafting.
