Ectoplasm is a crafting item that is used in certain recipes from the Random Things mod. It is dropped by Spirits. Spirits have a low chance of spawning whenever you kill an enemy, you can increase that chance by using a Spectre Sword. Spirits will also not stay in the world forever and will despawn 40 seconds after they spawned.
