Niter is a byproduct of pulverizing Sandstone or Saltpeter Ore in the Pulverizer from Thermal Foundation at a 10% chance for each item processed (15% for Saltpeter Ore). It is also a semi-common drop from the Blitz. It can be used to create Gunpowder or can be further pulverized to create Saltpeter from Factorization.
