NASA Workbench is a block added by the Galacticraft mod. It is a specialized item assembly table which is used to craft a Tier 1 Rocket as well as other unlockable vehicles and items which require schematics in order to unlock them.

This is important because there is no other way of making a spaceship! Once the player has made the 1st spaceship they can then get to the Moon.
