Empty Casings are non-craftable items added by Xeno's Reliquary. Every round fired with the Hunter's Handgun adds one Empty Casing to the player's inventory. Each one can be crafted back into a single Gold Nugget. This allows the gold nuggets to be re-used to produce more ammunition. No gold nuggets are wasted, since every shot recipe uses 4 gold nuggets to produce 4 bullets, and every shot returns 1 Empty Casing.
