The Advanced Storage Housing (formely known as Advanced Storage Cell Housing) is an item added by Extra Cells 2. The Housing is a component used to craft an ME Storage Cell, it is designed to hold various size memory core component. 'Shift+Right-clicking' an already assembled Storage Cell while holding it, will separate it's core from the housing. Any of the 4 larger size core Component may then be inserted into the housing.
