User:MineBot

This account is an automated bot developed by User:RZR0. When operational it will patrol the wiki to prevent vandalism, enforce style guidelines and perform (large-scale) structural changes. But currently the bot is still under development.

Goal

The goal of this bot is to automate many trivial tasks such as applying style guidelines, tidying page sources and (re)format template calls. On top of this, the bot will also be handling requests to move pages, fix redirects and other actions that take up a lot of time when performed manually.

Backend

The bot is developed in Java and based on the JavaWikiBotFramework library.

Features

Current operational features of the bot:

• Issue notifications of new pages and page modifications in the #FTBWiki IRC channel on the EsperNet (irc.esper.net) server. The bot is registered as the user "WikiBot".
• Clean up {{Item}}, {{Infobox/Item}} and {{Infobox/Block}}.
• Replace {{Infobox/Item}} with {{Infobox/Block}} when the type parameter is "Block".
• Replace many links to mod pages with {{ModLink}}.
• Replace many mod nav templates with {{ModNav}}.
