Template:Infobox/Block
| This template is written in Lua. The full source code can be found at Module:Infobox/Block. |
The {{Infobox/Block}} template is used at the top of articles about blocks. It displays a standard infobox containing the block's image, identifier, mod of origin, physical properties (such as solidity, transparency, gravity and luminance), required mining tool, drops, and other relevant data.
This template is a thin wrapper around {{Infobox/InvItem}}. It handles a small set of block related parameters itself, then forwards every remaining argument to the parent template. As a result, every parameter accepted by {{Infobox/InvItem}} is also accepted by {{Infobox/Block}}.
Usage
The template should be placed at the very top of the article, before any introductory text. Most parameters are optional. If a parameter is omitted, the corresponding row is either hidden or filled with a sensible default value, as noted below.
Parameters
- All parameters from {{Infobox/InvItem}}
typeDefault: Block.
type: The block's general type (Building Block, Machine, Material, ...). Default:Block(instead of hidden, as on {{Infobox/InvItem}}).solid: Whether the block is solid, i. e. entities collide with it. Default:Yes.trans: Whether the block is transparent, i. e. light passes through it. Default:No.gravity: Whether the block is affected by gravity, i. e. turns into a falling entity when there is no other block under it. Default:No.light: The amount of light emitted by the block. The row is always rendered. If a positive number is given, it readsYes (N). If0, a negative number, or no value is given, it readsNo. Any non-numeric value is displayed unchanged. Default:No.flammable: Whether the block is flammable, i. e. fire will burn on it until it is destroyed. Default:No.drops: The items dropped when the block is broken. The value is passed through as wikitext without any list formatting applied by the template. Default: Hidden.tool: The lowest tier tool required to successfully mine (or otherwise collect) the block. Multiple tools may be listed in special cases by separating their names with semicolons. Default: Unknown.wpick,spick,ipick,dpick- Wooden, Stone, Iron and Diamond Pickaxe respectively.qwrench,bcwrench,chammer- Quartz Wrench, BuildCraft Wrench, Crescent Hammerany- Any tool / bare hand will workpick- any tool, but pickaxe is the most efficientaxe- any tool, but axe is the most efficientshovel- any tool, but shovel is most efficientshears- Shearsbucket- Iron Bucketscoop- Scoopcrowbar- Crowbarwshovel- Wooden ShovelVajra,Diamond Axe- use exact names for other toolsnone- None
