The Totem of Prospecting is a tool from Ender Prospecting that can give you hints on if a find specific ore is near you.
To tune the talisman put it in a crafting table with 1 tuned Eye of Prospecting and 4 tuned Talisman of Prospecting tuned to the ore you want, and it will craft a totem tuned to the ore.
To use it, just keep the totem in your inventory, if there is a tuned ore within 7 blocks of you it will tell you with the message "Your <ore type> totem pulls from your inventory...". It doesn't tell you the direction so it's probably best to use this in tandem with the Talisman of Prospecting or Eye of Prospecting as well to locate the ore.
