The Talisman of Prospecting is a tool from Ender Prospecting that can give you hints on how to find specific ores near you.
To tune the talisman put it in a crafting table with 5 tuned Eye of Prospecting tuned to the ore you want, and it will craft a talisman tuned to the ore.
To use it, hold the talisman in your hand and right click, if there is that ore type within 9 blocks of you it will tell you the general direction of the ore; north, south, east, west, downward and upward. If no ore is nearby you will just get a warning instead.
