Template talk:Block

Block vs Item template?

It seems like Template:Block and Template:Item have a significant degree of overlap, and I see the Item template being used for lots of blocks. Should we try to merge them into a single template? Maybe use Block to simply include Item and set some default values?  TLUL ^{Talk - Contribs} 21:07, December 14, 2012 (UTC) 

I realize this is pretty old, but I definitely agree. So far I've found the Item template to be much more useful and I think it makes sense to merge Block and Item. Artsja (talk) 00:15, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
